Meet Amaryllis

Amaryllis McGee is the founder of Bubi Books LLC and the proud author of the Elijah's Adventure series. This series was born from love — inspired by her son, Elijah, a bright-eyed, adventurous little boy with a heart full of curiosity and a spirit made for exploring.

As a Puerto Rican woman and the wife of a beautifully melanated man, Amaryllis dreamed of a world where her son could open a book and see himself — confident, joyful, and full of wonder. A child of rich Afro-Latino heritage, with a passport in hand and the whole world waiting for him.
